Albuquerque, New Mexico – February 3, 2010, Racine Kreyol Cultural Arts partners with Available Media, Inc. 501(c)3 for a cultural extravaganza to support earthquake survivors of Haiti. The event will be held at El Rey Theater, 620 – 624 Central Ave SW on Saturday, February 20, 2010, 7:00 pm.
The benefit concert will include live performances by the following bands:

KUNM’s Putnay will be the emcee for the evening’s extravaganza
It is estimated that 1.5 million people have been left without adequate housing as a result of the devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti earlier this month. The proceeds from this collaboration will benefit Haitian families in their ongoing efforts to rebuild.
Racine Kreyol Cultural Arts is a group of mostly Haitian artists that perform and teach traditional Haitian drum and dance. The Racine Kreyol Band is comprised of 6 members of various ethnicities that play music from around the world. Available Media, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides educational programs and services concerned with scientific, cultural, historical and humane studies.
